Costa is quickly growing as a global brand and recognised that investing in early careers will play a significant part of this. Having a small number of apprentices was a great place to start and through a number of key stakeholder conversations it was recognised that the digital development plans for the company could be accelerated by brining in the right talent at the right time.

Being a levy payer, Costa wanted to invest into the right apprenticeship standards, to maximise the return on investment, and position Costa as a employer who provides career opportunities at every level. No longer was it acceptable to provide opportunities in just the stores, it was time to roll out opportunities across the departments who are key to unlocking Costa’s global growth plans.

The insight, recommendations, report and playback provided from Quantum Rise’s apprenticeship support has accelerated the new strategy, enabling investment of the levy into the right areas, and understand the art of the possible.

By collaborating with a fabulous global learning team, and speaking to well over a hundred Costa team members, we have been able to get the group thinking in a whole new way and take significant strides forward in positioning Costa as an employer who puts their junior talent first.
